18 Jun (Sun): FREE walk at Chek Jawa

Once a year, and only once a year, during Pesta Ubin, volunteers from several groups come together to offer a Chek Jawa Open House. Volunteers will be stationed all over the boardwalk. There will be activities for kids.
Chek Jawa boardwalk tour with the Naked Hermit Crabs
This activity is offered by the Chek Jawa community, led by the Naked Hermit Crabs with friends of Chek Jawa like NParks Chek Jawa volunteers and TeamSeaGrass. (There will be NO activities on the seashores or intertidal areas).

Date: 18 Jun 2023 (Sun)
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Venue: Chek Jawa Wetlands
No registration required, simply just turn up at Chek Jawa. This activity is free-of-charge.

4-25 June: Pesta Ubin

Celebrating our special island, Pulau Ubin! Check out the community activities organised for Pesta Ubin starting this weekend. Many are free but require registration.
Pesta Ubin is happening from 4 June to 25 June 2022! This year's theme is "The Ubin COMMONS" as we hope to support and preserve the unique community and to bring all Organising Groups, Villagers, and the Public to come together to celebrate the best of Pulau Ubin.

The TIGA TRAIL Good things come in threes! This trail explore the trinity of a rock, an island, and a river aptly named Tiga (translated into “3” from malay). Suitable for families and beginners for its easy distance and variety of scenery (including a beach stop for kids).

Join Mr David Li from NParks to learn how our shorebirds make their annual long-distance journey in search for warmer places to spend their winter. Pulau Ubin is one important stopover location for some of them.
