FREE Festival of Biodiversity 2025: 31 May and 1 June

Meet the people working on our shores and learn more about their work at this year's Festival of Biodiversity held at the  Central National Library. Special talks and lots of booths, workshops and fun activities for the whole family.

12 Oct (Sat): "Welcome Waders!" at Sungei Buloh

FREE fun for the whole family! 
Every year, millions of migratory shorebirds make an extraordinary journey from their breeding grounds in the Arctic to this part of the world. The journey is a difficult one, and many of them fall prey to hunters, predators and storms. For the shorebirds that arrive at Sungei Buloh, the reserve is a constant sanctuary in a coastline that is changing everywhere.

Join us in celebrating and welcoming the return of these marvels of endurance back home to Sungei Buloh with Welcome Waders!

18 Jun (Sun): FREE walk at Chek Jawa

Once a year, and only once a year, during Pesta Ubin, volunteers from several groups come together to offer a Chek Jawa Open House. Volunteers will be stationed all over the boardwalk. There will be activities for kids.

This activity is offered by the Chek Jawa community, led by the Naked Hermit Crabs with friends of Chek Jawa like NParks Chek Jawa volunteers and TeamSeaGrass. (There will be NO activities on the seashores or intertidal areas).

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Venue: Chek Jawa Wetlands
No registration required, simply just turn up at Chek Jawa. This activity is free-of-charge.

4-25 June: Pesta Ubin

Celebrating our special island, Pulau Ubin! Check out the community activities organised for Pesta Ubin starting this weekend. Many are free but require registration.
Pesta Ubin is happening from 4 June to 25 June 2022! This year's theme is "The Ubin COMMONS" as we hope to support and preserve the unique community and to bring all Organising Groups, Villagers, and the Public to come together to celebrate the best of Pulau Ubin.
