28 Jul (Sat): Celebrate International Mangrove Day at Sungei Buloh

FREE talks about mangrove insects, launch of a brand new walk and lots of kids arts and crafts activities!

Come to Sungei Buloh this Saturday to celebrate International Day for the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystems.


Activity booths at the Kranji side of Sungei Buloh
11.00am to 3pm
Information Counter, Visitor Centre (Kranji Way Entrance)

Varying craft activity booths will be set-up, such as mask crafts, colouring, mangrove pledge collage, and even quilt craft! Specimens booths will be there, with experienced facilitators explaining the different species which can be found in our mangroves!

Bees of Singapore's Mangroves
Time: 2.30pm to 3.30pm
Singapore's mangroves are home to a stunning diversity of native bees, but much about them remains to be discovered. Join this talk to learn more of these mysterious mangroves pollinators!

The story of Dragons and Damsels
Time: 3.30pm to 4pm
Dragonflies and Damselflies of varying species can be found in the mangroves, which are hard to see in our daily lives in the urbanised landscape. Join this talk to learn their story.

Ever wondered whether there is a relationship between food and mangroves? Come learn about this and more at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve's latest guided walk, "Mangrove Goodies". This guided walk will bring visitors on an amazing journey to learn about our relationship with mangroves!
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve: Eagle Point
Discover how mangrove animal and plant species is related to our everyday life - from food to products, and even to protect us! This guided walk will be launched on 28 July 2018 as part of the Reserve's Mangrove Day celebrations.
