Kathy runs The Dorsal Effect, an ecotourism business that provides alternative livelihoods to share with fishermen by getting them to take tourists out snorkelling instead. The trips are run responsibly by incorporating coral health checks and beach clean ups.

Beatrix runs CoralCoeur EcoLiving, an eco-store that supports the movement against single-use plastics, one of the ocean's greatest enemies.

Both Kathy and Beatrix will hold a talk from 3 to 4pm on Saturday 14 July on Why Sharks Matter and How To Live a Zero-Waste Way of Life.
