Singapore mangroves got fireflies, meh?

YES! Although Singapore is tiny, we have TEN species of fireflies! Thanks to Entomologist Lounge, learn more in "Of fireflies and mangroves: Singapore Story" written by Dr Wan F.A. Jusoh specially in celebration of International Year of the Reef 2018 and Celebrating Singapore shores.
Dr Wan explains: What are fireflies? Why are they called fireflies? Where can we see them? What is the best time to go look for fireflies?

Psst ... the mangroves at Pasir Ris boardwalk are open 24/7 and easy to visit at night to look for fireflies.
